The willow flycatcher (Empidonax traillii) is a small insect-eating, neotropical migrant bird of the tyrant flycatcher family. At 2.61 miles down trail from the Gateway there is a bike/ped/horse bridge over the San Gabriel River to Duarte. My wife and I started at the North end of the trail at the Dam and went north as far as the trail went. Get outa the way.

Although capable of limited flight, the roadrunner spends most of its time on the ground and can run at speeds of up to 20 mph.
